Something Odd in S. Leucophylla

I haven't been paying enough attention to my S. Leucophylla. It's only produced 2 pitchers this season, but that's normal for this plant. It didn't start producing til August last year, too. (A new pitcher is growing as we speak) So I was surprised to find something blocking the pitcher. Not sure what it is.

The blockage looks like part of plant and it's just below the hole in the pitcher, about 4 inches from the top of the pitcher.
