I haven't looked inside the Sarracenia Catesbaei x Purpurea x Flava lately. There are a ton of ants in every pitcher. I'm not sure why the ants are bunched up into a ball in the second pitcher. I've seen ants form "ladders" to try to get out of the pitcher, but not a ball.
