I was happy to see that one of the bugbat has trapped a mosquito. The less mosquitos the better. But alas, it is not a mosquito. The elaborate antenna means it is probably a midge. There are some midges that live part of their life cycle in the digestive zone of pitcher plants. Their larva are major predators in the ecosystem of the pitcher plant, but I haven’t seen the larva yet

I think the pencam did a nice job capturing the detail of the antenna.
