Not sure why the S. Leucophylla seem to be trapping only flies. Not sure if it's fly season, if the pitcher is attracting them specifically, or if there are just a lot of flies around for some reason.
I did a quick survey video to illustrate the point. I usually do one pitcher per video. I do survey videos to get a quick look at a bunch of pitchers. It gives me a quick way to see what needs further investigation.
There are flies in most of the pitchers, but the last pitcher has a new creature I haven’t seen before. It looks like a brown inchworm. But more on that in the next post.
