I had to move the big planter with the carnivorous plants and the next thing I know, I'm overwhelmed by ants. The ants built their colony in the planter and they were NOT happy to be disturbed. Part of their colony was built on the wall the planter was leaning against and now they are exposed.

As Ben Franklin would say: Waste not. Want not So I grabbed the Bug Vacuum.

And in 2 seconds it sucked up a ton of ants. I put the bug vacuum overnight and presto I have a ton of fresh food for the drosera.

Freezing the ants must be fast, one of the ants is still carrying a pupa.

Feeding an ant to a Drosera filliformis.

The bug vacuum also comes in handy when there's a spider in the house.

I relocated this little guy outside.
